Flights to Eritrea from the UK take 10-14 hours with at least one connection. Asmara International Airport (ASM) is the sole gateway for international arrivals, perched at 2,325 metres above sea level.
Turkish Airlines via Istanbul and EgyptAir via Cairo offer the most frequent connections. Ethiopian Airlines previously operated routes but services remain suspended due to regional tensions.
