SriLankan Airlines generally uses the weight concept on routes excluding North, Central and South America. Exceptions may apply based on specific periods, routes and fare types.
No individual checked baggage piece may exceed 32 kg. Under the weight concept, the standard maximum total dimension is 158 cm (62 in).

Each cabin-baggage piece must not exceed 115 cm in total linear dimensions. SriLankan Airlines also permits certain additional personal items, such as a laptop, handbag, small camera or umbrella, subject to its conditions.
Passengers travelling with an infant may carry an additional infant cabin bag up to 5 kg and 115 cm in total dimensions for items such as food, toiletries and nappies.

SriLankan Airlines confirms that eligible mobility aids can be carried free of charge in addition to the normal baggage allowance, subject to its conditions. Musical instruments that cannot meet standard baggage requirements may also be carried using the airline's extra-seat facility with prior approval.

Silver: Available only to eligible SriLankan Airlines co-branded credit-card holders and is separate from the standard oneworld status progression.
Tier status is assessed over a rolling 12-month period. Tier Miles come from eligible SriLankan Airlines and oneworld flights, while regular FlySmiLes miles can also be earned through participating partners.
FlySmiLes miles can be redeemed for reward tickets, upgrades and excess baggage. Miles are valid for three years from the date of travel.
