Namibe flights from the UK require at least one connection, typically through Luanda. The journey takes 15-22 hours in total, depending on your layover. Namibe Airport (MSZ) serves the city, located 3 km from the city centre.
The most common routing is London to Luanda (LAD), then a TAAG Angola Airlines domestic flight to Namibe. International carriers on the London-Luanda leg include TAP Air Portugal (Via Lisbon), Air France (Via Paris), Turkish Airlines (Via Istanbul), and others. The domestic hop from Luanda takes around 1 hour 30 minutes.
Return fares start from £580-730 in low season and climb to £890-1,150+ during peak periods like Christmas and Easter. The total price includes both the international and domestic legs if booked together, though domestic connections are sometimes sold separately.
Namibe is a coastal city on the edge of the Namib Desert extension into Angola. The Iona National Park, Angola's largest, is accessible from here. The coastline has some of the most dramatic scenery in Southern Africa.
