Virgin Atlantic has confirmed it will not be returning to Dubai this winter, suspending its seasonal London Heathrow to Dubai International Airport service for the 2026/27 season. The decision brings an abrupt end to a route the airline only relaunched three years ago, leaving British holidaymakers needing to make alternative arrangements ahead of the peak winter travel period.

Virgin Atlantic first served the London to Dubai corridor for over a decade before quietly retiring it in 2019. The airline made a much-anticipated return in October 2023, relaunching the seasonal service as part of a wider push into premium winter leisure travel. Operated on its modern Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, the route ran each year from late October through to late March, targeting British travellers seeking winter sun and city breaks in one of the world's most visited destinations.
