Manchester Airport Announces Major Increase in Direct Flights to Bangkok

Norse Atlantic Airways is set to quadruple its direct Manchester to Bangkok service from December 2026, giving Northern England travellers significantly greater access to Thailand this winter.

Manchester Airport has announced a major expansion to its long-haul network, with direct flights to Bangkok set to increase fourfold this winter. Norse Atlantic Airways will scale up its Manchester to Bangkok route from once a week to four times weekly from December 2026, with the seasonal service running into spring 2027.

Outbound departures will span across multiple days each week, giving travellers across the North of England a significantly wider choice of when to fly. The route will be operated using Norse Atlantic Airways' Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, a modern long-haul aircraft widely regarded for passenger comfort on international services.​​​​​​​

The expansion follows a strong debut for the route, which launched in late 2025 as a once-weekly seasonal service.
