DXB Disruption: 11 Major Airlines Release Urgent Guidance: What You Need to Know Before You Fly
31st March 2026
Dubai International Airport (DXB) is open and operational today, however flight schedules remain significantly reduced. Passengers are strongly advised not to travel to the airport without first receiving confirmed departure details directly from their airline.
Disruption has been caused by a combination of regional security tensions, temporary UAE airspace restrictions, and severe weather that brought widespread flooding across Dubai in a short period. Travellers connecting through DXB should verify onward flights carefully, as knock-on delays may still persist.
Here is the latest confirmed advice from 11 major carriers
Emirates continues to operate as the primary carrier at DXB, currently running a reduced schedule while steadily rebuilding capacity across its global network, with services confirmed to over 110 destinations. Passengers impacted by cancellations can rebook onto the next available flight at no extra cost or opt for a full refund. If your Dubai holiday was booked with Crystal Travel, our team can handle the entire process for you — simply get in touch for assistance.

What Should UK Travellers Do Now?
Flight schedules are still evolving as airlines continue to adjust their global operations. Travellers should regularly check directly with their airline for the latest updates, even if their booking has already been confirmed.
Changes may occur at short notice, so it’s important to keep your contact details updated to receive real-time notifications. If you are unable to secure a commercial flight, you may also consider contacting your embassy for repatriation or charter options.
