In a significant move to bolster aviation links between Europe and Asia, Asiana Airlines has launched its first nonstop service between Seoul Incheon International Airport and Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. This new daily flight, which began on 3 April 2026, marks a major milestone in air connectivity between South Korea and Hungary.

The introduction of this direct flight between the capitals of South Korea and Hungary is a key development in bilateral travel. Asiana Airlines, South Korea’s second-largest airline, becomes the latest carrier to add Budapest to its European network. With the launch of this route, Budapest is now Asiana’s ninth destination in Europe, further cementing the airline’s commitment to expanding its global reach.

The Seoul–Budapest service operates three times a week — on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays — as part of Asiana’s seasonal timetable, running through 24 October 2026. The outbound flight departs Seoul in the early afternoon, landing in Budapest later in the evening. The return flight from Budapest to Seoul departs in the evening, arriving the following afternoon.

This route will be serviced by Asiana’s Airbus A350-900, a cutting-edge aircraft known for its comfort and efficiency. The A350 features 311 seats, including 28 Business Smartium lie-flat seats and 283 Economy seats. Additionally, Economy Smartium seats — offering extra legroom — are available in the forward sections of the cabin, making the long journey more comfortable for passengers.​​​​​​​

Asiana Airlines joins Korean Air, which already operates four weekly flights between Seoul and Budapest.
