Príncipe Airport is extremely basic:

Terminal: Very small single terminal.
Amenities: Virtually none. No shops, no restaurants, no lounges.
Runway: Short runway suitable for small aircraft only.
Power: Occasional power cuts can affect the island.

Príncipe Airport is tiny and very close to Santo António:

Taxis: Available but limited. About €5-10 to Santo António town.
Hotel Transfers: Most accommodations arrange airport pickups. Essential to pre-book.
The island: Only about 16km long, so nowhere is far from the airport.

Things to know before visiting Príncipe:

1. Visa: UK nationals don't need a visa for stays under 15 days. For longer stays, apply for a visa through the São Tomé and Príncipe embassy.

2. Currency: São Toméan Dobra (STN). Euros widely accepted. Very limited ATMs.

3. Supplies: Bring essentials. Shops on the island are limited.
