Flights to the Faroe Islands from the UK take just over 2 hours direct. Atlantic Airways operates seasonal services from Edinburgh and year-round flights from London Gatwick.
Vagar Airport (FAE) is the only airport in the archipelago. Located on Vagar island, about 50km from the capital Torshavn. A tunnel connects the airport to the main islands.
