Cebu is a good starting point for exploring some of the popular places in the Philippines. From beaches and waterfalls to small islands and coastal towns, there are plenty of places to visit during your trip.
Mactan Island
Mactan Island is close to Cebu and is home to Mactan-Cebu International Airport. It is known for its beaches, clear waters and water activities. You can also take boat trips from the island to nearby spots for snorkelling, diving and island hopping.
Moalboal
Moalboal is around 90 km southwest of Cebu City and is best known for its famous sardine run. Large groups of sardines can be seen close to the coast, making it a popular place for snorkelling and diving. The area also has beaches and a relaxed coastal feel.
Kawasan Falls and Badian

Oslob
Oslob is best known for whale shark watching, with boats taking visitors out early morning to swim alongside them close to shore. It's a popular day trip from Cebu City, though the journey can take a few hours depending on traffic.
Bohol
Bohol is not part of Cebu, but it is easy to include in a wider Philippines trip from Cebu. Ferries connect Cebu with Tagbilaran in Bohol, making it possible to visit the island for its beaches, countryside and well-known Chocolate Hills.
Malapascua Island

March to May – Hot and Mostly Dry
March to May brings hotter weather to Cebu, with plenty of days suited to beach trips and water activities. June to November – Rainy Season
